Mike Klein

Mike can’t remember life without chess. He began when he was four and won his first national title when he was eight. He also won the first-ever National Bughouse Championship for middle school children. At 16, he became the youngest chess master in North Carolina history, and after college he began a career teaching chess. His students have won multiple national championships themselves, and Mike is now bringing his lessons to ChessKid.

Stephen Crookston

Stephen Crookston is the founder and senior trainer at Board One Academy. A native of Tampa, he’s been immersed in the competitive chess arena since childhood. He first became enchanted with the game as a kid when he received very clear instructions from his parents: “don’t touch the ivory chess set in your dad’s office.”

Kathy Anderson

Kathy Anderson is Nashville’s go to celebrity designer and winner of 8 international interior design awards. Her most notable projects are Sinema Restaurant, the Presidential Suites for the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as the backstage of the Grand Ole Opry House, which has been featured on the ABC series, “Nashville“.
